ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs your access to and use of the websites, software, courses, community spaces, and services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by Publishing Purpose, LLC and its affiliated entities (“Publishing Purpose,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Policy is incorporated by reference into, and forms part of, our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given to them in the Terms of Service.

By accessing or using any part of the Services, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to every person who accesses the Services, including students, prospective students, guests, community members, and anyone acting on their behalf. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account, including activity by anyone you allow to use it.

2. General Standards of Conduct

You agree to use the Services lawfully, respectfully, and only for their intended purpose: to help you write, publish, and market your own work. You agree not to use the Services in any way that harms Publishing Purpose, our instructors, our staff, other students, or any third party.

You represent and warrant that you have the full right and authority to enter into this Policy and to perform the obligations required of you under it.

3. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use or attempt to use the Services, whether alone or in conjunction with other software or hardware, in any unlawful manner or in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Services. Prohibited uses include, without limitation:

a) Harmful Acts. Any dishonest or unethical practice; any violation of law; conduct intended to harm the reputation of Publishing Purpose; hacking or other digital or physical attacks on the Services; or interference with another user's use of the Services.

b) Misrepresentation. Impersonating any person or entity, misstating your identity or affiliation, or falsely suggesting that you are endorsed by, employed by, or partnered with Publishing Purpose.

c) Infringement. Using the Services in a way that infringes, misappropriates, or violates the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contract rights of any person.

d) Unauthorized Commercial Use. Reselling, sublicensing, renting, or otherwise commercializing the Services, course materials, templates, or software except as expressly permitted in writing by us.

e) Circumvention. Bypassing or attempting to bypass any access control, paywall, licensing limit, usage limit, or security measure applied to the Services.

f) Automated Access. Scraping, crawling, harvesting, or using bots or scripts to extract content, contact information, or data from the Services without our prior written consent.

4. Content Standards

You are solely responsible for any content or materials you upload, post, share, submit, or otherwise provide through the Services. You will not submit content that is: unlawful; defamatory, harassing, threatening, or abusive; sexually explicit or obscene; hateful or discriminatory on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability; deceptive or fraudulent; or that promotes violence or illegal activity.

You will not import or incorporate into any content you submit any sensitive personal information, including government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or the personal information of minors.

We have the right, but not the obligation, to monitor, edit, refuse, or remove any content submitted through the Services, at our sole discretion and without notice.

5. Community and Live Call Conduct

Our community spaces, coaching calls, and workshops exist so that authors can work in good faith alongside one another. In those spaces you will not: disrupt calls or discussions; record, republish, or redistribute calls, replays, or member posts; solicit or pitch other members; disclose another member's private information; or treat instructors, staff, or members disrespectfully.

Participation in the community is a privilege granted with your enrollment and may be limited, suspended, or revoked at our discretion.

6. Use of Generated Content and AI Tools

Where the Services include AI-assisted tools, you may use them only to support your own publishing projects. You will not use these tools to infringe, misappropriate, or violate anyone's rights; to generate unlawful, deceptive, or harmful material; to produce content you then represent as having been created without AI assistance where such a representation is prohibited; or to violate the terms of any third-party platform, including Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.

You are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and standing behind everything you publish, whether or not it was produced with the assistance of our tools.

7. Account Sharing and Program Materials

Your account and access credentials are personal to you. You will not share, sell, transfer, or provide access to your account, and you will not share course videos, templates, checklists, worksheets, or other program materials with anyone outside your enrollment. Materials are licensed for your personal use only, as described in the Terms of Service.

8. Marketing, Solicitation, and Spam

We have zero tolerance for spam and unsolicited communications. You will not send, post, or authorize any communication through or in connection with the Services that constitutes spam or any other unsolicited bulk communication, and you will not use the Services to build or promote a competing program or to recruit our students, instructors, or staff.

9. Security and System Integrity

You will not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Services; breach or circumvent any authentication measure; introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code; or take any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure. You must keep your password confidential and notify us immediately at info@publishingpurpose.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

10. Usage Limits and Fair Use

To ensure fair and efficient use of the Services for all students, we reserve the right to monitor account activity and to throttle, limit, or suspend access where we determine that use is excessive, automated, shared, or otherwise inconsistent with normal individual use.

11. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of a violation of this Policy, including misuse of course materials or misconduct in the community, please report it to info@publishingpurpose.com with as much detail as you can provide.

12. Enforcement

If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this Policy, we may take any action we consider appropriate, including issuing a warning, removing content, limiting or revoking community access, suspending or terminating your account and access to the Services without refund, and reporting the conduct to law enforcement or affected third parties. Our decision not to act on a violation does not waive our right to act on that or any other violation later.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time by posting the revised version on our websites. Changes are effective when posted. Your continued use of the Services after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
